Born in Nashville and raised in Kentucky, Annie Potts was the youngest of three girls. Interested in stage and film at an early age, she received her BA in Theater from Stephens College in Missouri where she's currently a visiting professor of Drama and a dedicated Board Member. Potts has created many iconic female roles including the wonderful 'Mary Jo Shively' from "Designing Women" and 'Iona' from "Pretty in Pink." Her work in "Love & War" garnered her an Emmy nomination and with "Any Day Now" she scored two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations. In her film debut "Corvette Summer" she received a Golden Globe Award nomination. She is beloved around the world for her portrayal as 'Janine' in the "Ghostbusters" movies and for voicing 'Bo Peep' in "Toy Story" 1 and 2.
